TAOS provided over 1000 high-tech organizations with systems and network administration services. TAOS was one of the 3 companies documented in Gurus, Hired Guns and Warm Bodies, Stephen Barley's landmark study of the staffing business
He came to the CEO role with the experience gained during ten years as the CFO of Sterling Federal Systems, a Federal and commercial contract software development organization.
His early career was spent in project management for a large number of diverse software development efforts including a FORTRAN compiler for IBM and a computer graphics systems for NASA. He has a B. S. in Systems Engineering from the Polytechnic Institute of Brooklyn
Russ Molari is also a principal of Defining Strategies.
Russ most recently managed global IT consulting and e-learning instructional design services for an enterprise software maker for Fortune 500 and Global 2000 enterprise clients. He planned and optimized a $13M-$18M global business unit with very high consistent gross margins.
Russ previously grew Sterling Software’s civil sector IT services business to over 600 consultants serving NASA and other Federal clients, in the role of Division President and General Manager. He also managed national consulting services in high-end enterprise Application Development for over 90 Fortune 500 clients. He planned and executed a rapid turnaround in this business from a $6M annualized loss into a $4M annualized profit in a 5-month period. He has provided executive consulting to clients in strategic planning, turnarounds, and acquisitions, in both services and products industries.
Russ has a significant scientific, project management, and software engineering services background, with B.S. and M.S. degrees from MIT and the University of Washington. |
